Piotr Bury Łakomy

Biography

b. 1983, lives and works in Poznań

Graduated at the studio of Professor Leszek Knaflewski in the Institute of Fine Arts, University of Zielona Góra. He had several solo shows (Institute of Avant-Garde, Warsaw; Stereo, Warsaw; The Sunday Painter, London; BWA Zielona Góra; Galeria Arsenał, Białystok) and participated in a number of group international exhibitions (Poland, Germany, Great Britain, Italy, Belgium, USA, Australia, among others); his works have been presented in Museum of Modern Art in Warsaw, Fondation Cartier in Paris, CASS Sculpture Foundation in West Sussex and Fahrenheit in Los Angeles. Nominated for the Deutsche Bank Award Views in 2015, and in 2016 for Paszporty Award of the Polityka Weekly. Solo presentations include LISTE Art Fair Basel (2014), Art Basel Statements (2016)(w/Stereo), Frieze New York (2017)(w/The Sunday Painter).
